Version of Outlook fully Supported on Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit)

  • Outlook 2003
  • Outlook 2007
  • Outlook 2010
  • Outlook 2013

It is advised to consistently update versions of Outlook precisely after installing to take care of any incompatibility concerns that have been rigid already.

Note: 64 bit version of Outlook 2010 and 2013 also desire 64 bit version of Windows 7

Previous versions

Previous Version of Outlook

You can install Outlook 2003 and its previous version on Windows 8 but it is not fully supported. Therefore, it means you get error messages regarding the compatibility issue and loss of functionality. It could also be that the later version 8 updates could still introduce issues as these are not tested against these editions.

As Outlook 2003 and previous versions rely on the functionality of Internet Explorer, that too could submit new issues.

For Outlook 2000, 2002 and XP you will run into the same password not remembering issue as on Windows 7 and Vista. Therefore, it is recommended to stop the older version of Outlook as it no longer offers protection in the current email environment.

Remember Password in Outlook XP on 7/Vista

It is a compatibility issue of Outlook 2002 on 7/ Vista, this issue won’t be addressed as the 2002 version of Outlook is out of current support.

Also, as long as Outlook 2002 opens it won’t prompt password but when you restart Outlook 2002, it will again ask you for password. Windows 7 and Vista can’t remember Outlook XP/2002 password.
